Although located within the built-up area of the popular resort of Carnac, and only 300 m. from the beach, this campsite feels much more rural. Catering for all ages, this is a friendly site and lively in high season with plenty of activities including evening entertainment and a club for children. There are 350 pitches; 164 touring pitches and the remainder used for mobile homes and chalets, of which the majority are used by tour operators. The touring pitches are in groups and are large, level and hedged. Nineteen pitches are designated Luxe, being quite large (110-120 sq.m), and six are Privilege (115-130 sq.m. including barbecue). All have electricity (10A), water and drainage.

The central complex, containing the pools and games areas, all overlooked by the bar and its terrace, makes a convivial focal point. The town and seafront can be explored on foot and the Brittany coast and the Gulf of Morbihan are within easy reach by car or bicycle. American motorhomes should book ahead.

Facilities at Camping les Menhirs

Three modern toilet blocks with washbasins in cabins, and accessible facilities. A further accessible en-suite unit is by the pool complex. Laundry. Shop. Comfortable bar with satellite TV and takeaway (21/5-11/9). Heated indoor (16/4-24/9) and outdoor pools (30/4-24/9), the latter with slides. Fitness complex with massage, multi-gym, jacuzzi, sauna and solarium. Multisports pitch. Tennis. Boules. Play areas. Children’s club and evening entertainment (July/Aug). WiFi throughout (free). Accommodation to rent.

Directions to Camping les Menhirs

From Auray take D786 to Carnac and Quiberon. After 5 km. turn south on D119 towards Carnac at roundabout. 600 m. beyond next roundabout fork left, (La Trinité-sur-Mer, Plages). Straight on at lights. Fork left at first roundabout. Turn left at next roundabout (T-junction) and site is signed at 250 m. on left.
