Situated just over 3 km. outside Vayrac in a very rural position, this site nestles quietly beside the river in a tranquil and peaceful area. Pitches along the river frontage are popular, but children will need to be supervised as the river is unfenced. There is access to the river at one end of the site, ideal for those wishing to discover the pleasures of the River Dordogne. There are 150 level grassy pitches, shaded by a variety of mature trees, with 116 for touring. Most have 10A electricity. In July/August there is some family entertainment, but only in French.
The owners are friendly and helpful and are keen to ensure you enjoy your holiday whilst on their family orientated site. This part of France offers many places of interest to visit with many fine châteaux and historic sites. Restaurants abound and offer a gastronomic experience with great local cuisine. Off site activities are numerous and the staff at the local tourist office in Vayrac are very helpful. In this area, the natural environment is protected and you can explore the beautiful countryside on foot or on a bicycle.
Facilities
Two toilet blocks include facilities for babies and accessible facilities. Washing machine and ironing board. Small shop, bar, snack bar and takeaway (July/Aug). Swimming pool and paddling pool (May-Sept). Play area. Family entertainment (12/7-16/8). Fishing and river beach. Max. 1 dog. Electric barbecues are not permitted. WiFi in reception (free).
Location
Leave A20 at exit 52 and go east on D158 then south on D8 and D720 to Vayrac. Turn right just before the church at sign for ’Espace loisir les Granges’. Site is signed from here in 3 km.
