This small, quiet family site is set on the banks of the Lèze river in the foothills of the Pyrénées. Tina & Jean Marie will give you a very warm welcome. There are 39 open pitches with some shade, 27 for touring units. Grassy and level with 10A electricity (Europlug) and water at some pitches. Les Eychecadous is a very clean, traditional site offering good facilities at very reasonable rates. Children can fish for trout or paddle in the shallow river, (fishing tackle loaned free of charge) with parents supervising from the small sandy beach.

There is a bar and snack bar on site where food can be pre-ordered. This is Catalan country, rich in historical sites and fortified villages. Not to be missed are the hilltop village of Carla-Bayle with its panoramic views over the Pyrénées and home to many artists, and the prehistoric cave at Mas d’Azil. The surrounding rolling hills and quiet roads make this site a good base for cycling and walking. Andorra is 76 miles away.

Location

After Palmiers on the N20, take exit 10 and the D919 30 km. northwest to Artigat. Site is signed on the right when exiting the village, with a new road and entrance created.
