Les Etangs is a site of 100 pitches, close to the Sancerre vineyards and the lakes of the Sologne. A member of the Flower group, this site extends over two hectares and borders a small lake (suitable for fishing). Pitches are large and grassy (most have electrical connections). There are chalets available to rent. The town of Aubigny-sur-Nère is very close (1 km) and has a close attachment with Scotland, thanks to the ‘Auld Alliance’. The town is the only one in France to celebrate French-Scottish friendship on Bastille Day. Bring your bicycle as there are many tracks running through the surrounding forests.
A covered municipal swimming pool is 50 m. from the site (a charge is made). Various activities are organised on site during the high season, including special events for children. There is much to see in the area, including the châteaux on the Route Jacques Coeur, the great Gothic cathedral at Bourges and the mediaeval château at Sully-sur-Loire.
