Nestled on the banks of the Allier River in Chapeauroux, this charming campsite offers the perfect base for outdoor enthusiasts. At an altitude of 750 meters within a protected area between Margeride and Pays du Velay, Camping Les Eaux Vives boasts stunning scenery and endless opportunities for exploration. On-site, there are 29 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. Pitches are flat and grassy, delimited by hedging, and partially shaded by trees. 

On-site facilities include a bar and snack bar with a terrace with great views of the surrounding area and various meals served. There is also a communal pizza oven and BBQ area where you can cook your own meals. For the younger campers, there is table tennis and table football to enjoy. The Lot River runs directly next to the campsite for cooling off in the summer months. This area is also perfect for fishing enthusiasts, as trout fishing is very popular. 

Explore the Gouffre de Padirac. This is a huge underground cave system that is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Dordogne Valley. Visitors can take a guided tour of the caves, which includes a boat ride on an underground lake.
