Alan Rogers Review of Camping les Aubazines
Owned by a group of several communes, this very spacious site is set out on wide terraces over looking a lake on the River Dordogne, although a short distance from it. Wide but steep site roads provide good access. Slightly sloping, the grassy pitches (around 100 for touring) are mostly separated by flowering shrubs and hedging with some shade provided by trees. Most pitches have 5/10A electricity and a few have drainage. There are 36 mobile homes to rent. This site is not suitable for those with walking difficulties as access to the facilities will often involve a long and steep climb. The owners are trying to keep this a quiet and relaxing site.
Facilities at Camping les Aubazines
Three clean and modern toilet blocks have all the necessary facilities but access to them is not easy (see above). Shop for groceries. Bread (July/Aug). Games/TV room. Play area. Fishing. Tennis. Boules. Family activities and excursions (July/Aug).
