This is an excellent little three-hectare site located in a large leisure and country park on the western outskirts of Paris. Campers have direct access to the huge country park (250 m. from site) with its three large lakes, one with a beach for swimming, others for sailing and pedalo hire. The site has 87 pitches in two sections, one end for campers (mainly groups) with its own sanitary block, the other for caravans and tents. There are 37 level pitches, all but four with electricity (10A, Europlug), water and drainage. There is some very occasional aircraft and train noise.

It offers a pleasant alternative to the busier sites closer to Paris for those wishing to visit the city. Trains and RER services from nearby stations take you there in less than half an hour and even on to Disneyland. Versailles is easily reached by motorway. There are miles of paths and cycle tracks and many other activities. Five canvas bungalows (sleeping up to six) equipped with electricity and a small terrace with furniture are available to rent.

Facilities

Two modern sanitary blocks have controllable showers and some washbasins in cubicles. Accessible facilities(touring area). Small block for children with baby room (camping area). Motorhome services. Reception sells bread (to order) and basics. Tennis courts, 18-hole minigolf. Play area. Communal barbecue in camping area. WiFi on part of site (free).

Location

From A13 take exit 8 (Meulan-les Mureaux). Follow signs for Base de Loisirs du Val de Seine. Go through Les Mureaux and bear right on D154 towards Verneuil. At roundabout turn left (signed Base de Loisirs) to site.
