Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Val de l’Arre
Camping Val de l’Arre is situated along the Arre river, a tributary of the Hérault river and in the centre of the Cévennes National Park. The site is well managed by the very friendly Triaire family, who speak English, Dutch, Spanish and French. There are 170 grassy, level pitches, 135 for touring, many have some shade and most have electricity (10A). There is a pleasant swimming pool with an outdoor bar. A pebble beach at the river bank provides opportunities for play and fishing enthusiasts will also certainly appreciate the river. Only gas and electric barbecues on site.
There are numerous possibilities for outdoor activities such as white-water rafting, canoeing and mountain biking. Qualified guides may take you on mountain expeditions on foot or by bicycle. The nearby Grottes des Demoiselles are some of France’s foremost caves. There is also the opportunity to taste the great wines of the Hérault region.

Three clean and well appointed toilet blocks are well spaced around the site with controllable showers. Accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Shop and open-air snack bar, restaurant and takeaway (1/6-31/8). Swimming and paddling pools (1/6-15/9). Boules. Play area. Guided walks organised. WiFi over site (charged).
