Camping Le Taranis is a family-friendly campsite in Mostuéjouls, Aveyron, France. It is situated in a beautiful wooded area along the Tarn River, offering stunning views of the surrounding cliffs and countryside. The campsite is ideally located for exploring the Gorges du Tarn, a spectacular canyon with dramatic cliffs, caves, and waterfalls. The campsite offers a variety of camping pitches, including 64 large shaded touring pitches with electric hook-up points available. Some pitches are located right next to the river, which gives excellent views of the surrounding area. There are also seven accommodation units available to hire.
The campsite has a number of amenities to make your stay enjoyable, including an outdoor swimming pool perfect for cooling off on a hot day. There is a playground for the little ones to enjoy and a mini farm where they can meet the campsite's resident goats. For those who wish to have a natural swim in the river, there is a private pebble beach that can be accessed straight from the campsite. The campsite organises regular excursion programs during the high season and provides information on various cycling routes in the area.
The most famous natural attraction near Mostuéjouls is the stunning Gorges du Tarn, a dramatic canyon carved by the Tarn River. You can admire the scenery from viewpoints, hike along the rim, or go canoeing or kayaking on the river itself. Visit the Millau Viaduct which is an incredible feat of engineering is the tallest bridge in the world, towering over the Tarn Valley. You can drive or walk across the bridge, or even take a bungee jump off it for an adrenaline rush!
