Alan Rogers Review of Camping Le Soustran
Le Soustran is a small charming campsite with Dutch owners. The camp is located next to Lac de Triouzoune (also called Lake Neuvic), located in the middle/south of France in the beautiful Corrèze. A wooded, wetland and hilly area (600m) close to Plateau de Millevaches, on the edge of the Auvergne, with stunning views of the peaks of the Cantal (Puy Mary) and the Puy de Dôme and 7km from the Dordogne river. There is a relaxed feel on this quiet and friendly campsite with 40 spacious touring pitches on nicely laid out terrain delimited by large hedges, providing shade and privacy. The campsite is also situated on top of a hill giving you far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
Plenty of activities keep the kids entertained at the campsite, including two trampolines, a sandpit, swings and a ping-pong table. There is an attractive recreation room with, among other things, children's toys, games, a mini library, pool billiards and a football table. Roasting marshmallows by the campfire is possible (almost) every evening. A bar and restaurant are available daily for those that don't want to cook.
There is a swimming pool for all ages to enjoy, and you will find the lake within walking distance. There are several sports to enjoy, From fishing and swimming to boating. The significant advantage of this lake is that it consists of an area designed for sailing with motor boats, jet skis and water skis, and a place where this is banned and where peace and nature lovers can be thoroughly enjoyed. This advantage is that the quiet side is right next to the campsite. You can also rent kayaks straight from the camp to explore the lake.
