Alan Rogers Review of Camping le Pansard

La Pansard is a large site with 400 pitches and direct access to the beach. With a mix of mobile homes and touring pitches, most of the touring areas are located around the beach area and under shady pine trees. The pitches are sandy and of average size (80-100 sq.m) but suffer from a lack of suitably placed electrical connections and water points. Some pitches will require extremely long leads. The site has good sports facilities and a comprehensive small supermarket. There is a large separate car park area for boats. Some English is spoken. This stretch of coast is very sheltered with a shallow beach safe for swimming.

There are pleasant views from the site across to the islands of Porquerolles, Port Cros and Levant, which can all be visited from La Londe-Les-Maures. The site was very busy at the time of our visit in June but does not accept advance bookings so arrive early in high season.

Facilities at Camping le Pansard

Eight sanitary blocks, well placed for the touring pitches. Some are new but the others are adequate, but dated. Motorhome services. Supermarket. Bar/restaurant and takeaway. Games room. Play area. Tennis. Sports pitch. Pétanque. Animation programme (July/Aug). Boat park. Charcoal barbecues are not allowed. Dogs are not accepted.

Directions to Camping le Pansard

From N98, exit onto the D559 (La Londe). Follow signs for Les Ports, Les Plages. At roundabout, take first exit signed Plage, Port Miramar. Site entrance is signed on right in 600 m.
