The four-star campsite Le Palais de la Mer in Saintes-Maries-de-La-Mer is reasonably close to the town of Perpignan (18 km) and offers direct access to the beach of the French-Catalan coast of the Mediterranean.
The 122 touring pitches vary from 80 to 100 m2 in size. The four sanitary buildings have recently been renovated, giving them a beautiful and functional appearance. There are various activities to enjoy on the campsite grounds, including a tennis court and multisport pitch. In high season the campsite also offers entertainment in the l’Embuscade pub, where musical performances occur three times a week in high season.

Adjacent to the bar are two swimming pools, one of which is heated; the swimming pools have recently been renovated, including water slides for all ages to enjoy. Several sun loungers and a solarium flank the swimming pool. The sandy beach along the Mediterranean can be accessed via the campsite.

The campsite is well equipped if you don't want to cook, offering a restaurant and a snack bar where you can orderà la carte dishes, salads, fish, grilled meats and local dishes. You can also enjoy tasty pizzas to take away or enjoy on the terrace, by the pool. There is a grocery shop on site where you can get all your necessities and beach and camping accessories.

An unique feature is the petting zoo belonging to the campsite, which can be accessed via a small bridge over a river. You can find many animals such as chickens, peacocks, goats, donkeys and more. There is also a small tourist train in the park.

On coastal road D81 take exit Ste Marie-Plage. Then drive straight at the roundabout and turn left at the third intersection. Signposted.
