Camping le Neptune is a rare find in this area. This small, family run site with only 165 pitches makes a delightful change. The pitches are mostly separated by flowering bushes, with some shade, most with 6/10A electricity. There are 20 mobile homes to rent. The Fray family are welcoming and even though this is a busy area, this site is an oasis of calm, suited to couples and young families. Situated alongside the splendid Hérault river, one can cycle or walk into the village of Le Grau d’Agde or on into the historic centre of Agde itself. The site’s swimming pool is in a sunny position and is overlooked by the bar.

There is entertainment twice weekly in high season and also a miniclub for children six days a week. The beach and the small resort of Grau d’Agde are 2 km. and Aqualand 5 km. The Sunday market at le Grau is a must and you could then catch the small ferry or ‘passeur’ to the tiny resort of la Tamarissière on the opposite side of the Herault. Or take a boat trip to explore the canal du Midi or even visit the exciting port of Sète by sea.

Two toilet blocks provide preset showers, washbasins in cabins, three cold showers for hot weather. Accessible Facilities. private sanitary facilities avaialble on some pitches, Laundry. Small shop, bar (15/5-15/9). Snacks and takeaway (26/6-21/8). Heated swimming pool (bracelets required July/Aug). Field for sports. Free WiFi. Boat mooring facility on the River Hérault across the road. Gas barbecues only permitted. Max. 1 dog.

Directions to Camping le Neptune

From A9 exit 34 follow signs for Agde, Bessan, Vias, then Cap d’Agde. Exit for Grau d’Agde. At roundabout (with statue) turn left following signs for Grau d’Agde, and left again at second roundabout. Keep straight on to fifth roundabout turning left and under bridge. Site is 600 m. on left.
