Le Dolmen is a family site located on the eastern edge of Carnac. The site has 130 pitches, of which 50 are available to tourers. Other pitches are taken by mobile homes (around 12 are to rent). Pitches are of a good size and are mostly equipped with electricity. A number of pitches outside the main gate in a parking area have been specially equipped for motorhomes (with services). On-site amenities include a small snack bar and a swimming pool. The nearest beach, le Men Dû, is around 600 m. away. This is a particularly attractive beach, shelving gently and with crystal waters.

Carnac needs little introduction and is best known for its alignments of more than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. Carnac-Plage, in high season, is quite different from the old town, with many lively bars and night clubs. To the east, La Trinité-sur-Mer is one of Brittany’s premier sailing resorts and has many attractive restaurants. To the south, Quiberon retains a character all of its own with an important fishing tradition, particularly for sardines.

Location

Approaching from the north (Auray) take D768 towards Quiberon and then D119 to Carnac. Upon arriving in Carnac, follow signs to Carnac-Plage and then to La Trinité-sur-Mer using D186 (Avenue des Druides). The site is clearly signed to the left, on the edge of the town.
