Camping Le Dolium is located in Laudun-l'Ardoise, France, in the Gard department of the Occitanie region. It is a family-friendly campsite that offers a variety of amenities and activities for campers of all ages. There are 30 spacious touring pitches with electric hook-up points available, beautifully laid out between mature trees, which provide plenty of shade during the summer. The same number of rental accommodations are on the right-hand side and around the site's edges.
The highlight of this site is the large swimming pool, which is quite unusual for a small-scale campsite. Everyone will have hours of water fun here as a water slide runs into the beautifully shaped main pool perfect for the older kids to enjoy. Adjacent to the main pool is the toddler pool. Plenty of sun loungers are dotted around, too, ideal for laying your towel down and soaking up the sun. Aqua gym sessions are also held here during the summer. During high season, the campsite entertainment team organise various themed evenings, live music and karaoke nights, which can be enjoyed by all at the campsite restaurant and bar. For the younger campers, treasure hunts, sports tournaments and a variety of games are organised.
If you visit the Laudun-l'Ardoise the town itself has a rich history and some charming architecture. Be sure to visit the Eglise de L'Ardoise, a beautiful 12th-century church. You can also take a walk along the Rhône River or visit the local markets to sample some of the region's best produce. Visit the Pont du Gard which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a truly impressive Roman aqueduct that is still standing today.
