Camping Le Clapas is located in Salavas, France, in the Ardèche region. It is situated right next to the river Ardèche making it a great choice for campers who enjoy the outdoors and want to explore all that the Ardèche has to offer. There are 66 pitches that measure between 75 and 100 m2, of which are for touring and have a 10amp electric hook-up point available. The campsite owners have created a park-like feel here by planting many trees and using the river stones to construct the campsite's walls. The many trees now provide plenty of shade during the summer months.

With its setting on the bank of the Ardèche, Le Clapas attracts many canoeists and kayakers who want to explore the area via the water. The campsite jetty is an added attraction as it makes it easier to launch boats from. You can rent a canoe or kayak directly from the campsite and embark on a leisurely paddle downstream, soaking in the breath-taking scenery. The Pebbled Beach is also perfect for swimming as well as relaxing in the sun and watching the world go by. Other facilities on-site include a football pitch, table tennis and playground. During the high season, the site organises various sports tournaments as well as themed evenings such as paella and BBQ nights. There are also mini discos and live music organised in the evenings too.

Explore the Pont d'Arc which is a natural wonder not to be missed, the Pont d'Arc is a magnificent 110-meter limestone arch bridge carved by the Ardèche River over millions of years. You can admire it from various viewpoints along the river or even kayak underneath it. The Ardèche is riddled with numerous caves, some prehistoric, waiting to be explored. Several companies offer guided caving tours, discover stalactites, stalagmites, and other geological wonders. Dotted around the Ardèche are picturesque villages oozing with French charm. Take a day trip to explore villages like Balazuc, a medieval village built on a cliffside overlooking the Ardèche, or Vogüé, a charming village with a 12th-century castle.
