Camping Le Chêne is a small, dog-friendly, terraced site in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes. The 52 pitches (47 for touring units) are on well-shaded terraces, have splendid views of the Céüse mountain, and have 6-amp hook-up points available. The site is near the Écrins National Park and the town of Gap. It is also well-placed for shops, bars and restaurants. A 10-minute walk away, you will find a tennis court, multi-sport court and public outdoor swimming pool (which is both heated and free to use).

The well-kept site has few amenities but has everything needed for an enjoyable stay. There is a toilet block, laundry facilities and accessible facilities; the site has no animation or entertainment, so it is perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The campsite team is helpful and can suggest many activities that are available in the area. For those who are into sports, there is a plethora to choose from, including climbing, canyoning, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding and water sports. There is a nearby airport where you can view the area from above via a hot air balloon or small aeroplane.

Directions to Camping Le Chêne

From the south on the A51 leave after the toll booth at Tallard and join the N85. After a short distance bear right onto the D942. Turn right after the college and the site is on this road.

From the North at Gap on the N85 and shortly after Tallard airport turn left onto the D942. Turn right after the college and the site is on this road.
