Situated amongst pine, poplar and palm trees, running parallel to a fine, white sandy beach, Camping Las Palmeras is in a wonderful location. The final approach is under the railway (3.5 m) with a sharp turn into the parking area. The site is very long and thin (1.5 km. so bicycles are handy) along the shore. There are 550 pitches for touring, mostly on grass with plenty of shade, and 210 are for bungalows and tents. All touring pitches have access to 5/10A electricity, although long leads may be necessary in places. For its beachside location alone, Las Palmeras is worthy of a visit and, with so many facilities on offer, it is a lively site offering something for the whole family. There is some noise from the frequent trains, which run 24 hours.

The air-conditioned reception is smart and efficiently managed by helpful and welcoming staff. A well stocked shop is close by offering a wide selection of fresh produce. There are two pleasant swimming pools by the sea (12/6-15/9), one is for children and they are surrounded by a large, lawned area for sunbathing with some views of the beach. So too has the terrace in front of the restaurant which offers a good varied menu that includes tapas. An additional snack bar opens in high season. It is a popular site with all nationalities.

Four large toilet blocks are evenly located and maintained to a high standard. Open style washbasins and good sized shower cubicles. Accessible facilities, Baby rooms. Laundry in each block. Shop, bar and beach restaurant (all season). Smaller bar and snack bar (high season only). Two swimming pools (15/6-15/9). Tennis. Two large play areas. Children’s club in high season. Wi-Fi throughout (charged).

Directions to Camping Las Palmeras

Las Palmeras is easily accessed from the N340 (Barcelona-Tarragona) and is signed after the 1169 km. marker. Beware of the sharp bend at the entrance.
