This attractive site is quite a way off the beaten track but it is worth the effort to find it in such a spectacular and peaceful setting. This site has 106 spacious pitches (83 for touring with 10A electricity) laid out on steep terraces and many separated by trees and plants. Some are alongside the Glueyre river that tumbles between pools, while the rest are on higher, terraced ground nearer the restaurant, bar and pool. The main site access roads are quite steep but are made of good tarmac. A convivial family atmosphere is encouraged by the owners and entertainment is tailored to the guests’ needs. There is weekly live music and a comprehensive entertainment package for children centred around a room near a fenced play area.

The campsite uses 5 of the 40 hectare, privately owned, wooded valley side. The site is split into two parts by a quiet road with a lower level next to the river with spacious level pitches and its own high quality sanitary facilities. On arrival using the road from Saint Sauveur-de-Montagut, park outside reception to find details for your pitch. The friendly Dutch owners have developed an extensive excursion programme for exploring this attractive area on foot or by car. This is an area of natural beauty and offers opportunities for mountain biking, walking and canoeing excursions.

Two very good sanitary blocks include facilities for families and accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop. Cosy restaurant. Swimming and paddling pools (heated), adjacent bar, snack bar, terrace. TV. Bicycle hire, archery, fishing. Large sports field with football, various courts for volleyball/badminton and a second adventure play area. Comprehensive entertainment programme. Only gas/electric barbecues. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping l’Ardéchois

From Valence take N86 south for 12 km. At La Voulte-sur-Rhône turn right onto D120 to St Sauveur-de-Montagut (site well signed), in centre turn left onto D102 towards Mézilhac for 8 km. to site. The road narrows in places but with compensating wider stretches.
