Camping Laguna is a relaxed, spacious site on an isthmus within the Catalan National Maritime Park, on the migratory path of many different birds. It has direct access to an excellent sandy beach and the estuary of the River Muga (also a beach). The owners spend much time and effort on improvements. The 730 pitches (100 mobile homes) are shaded and clearly marked on grass and sand, all with 6/10A electricity. There are also 51 fully serviced pitches. A very attractive bar/restaurant and sitting area overlook the impressive lagoons. There are two swimming pools (one is heated in low season).

A disco operates across the road from reception, keeping the noise away from the main site. A large riding school operates (May-Sept) and there are many other activities for all ages. The beach frontage is large and has a sailing school. It is said to be possible to cross over to Empuriabrava when the tide is out. There are many pleasant walks in this area and La Laguna is also a good base from which to visit the surrounding towns and countryside. This is an ideal site for family holidays.

Five superb toilet blocks (1 new from 2019), placed to avoid long walks, have solar heated water, and include accessible facilities. Laundry room. Bar, restaurant and takeaway. Comprehensive supermarket. Swimming pools (15/5-20/10). Horse riding and ponies. Football. Tennis (free in low seasons). ATM. Minigolf. Windsurfing and sailing schools (July/Aug). Fishing. Miniclub. Play areas. Bicycle hire. Riding. Entertainment programme and competitions. Doctor visits. Satellite TV. Internet access. WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping Laguna

From AP7/E15 take exit 3 south or exit 4 north (there is no exit 3 north) and then N11 to the C260 towards Roses. At Castelló d’Empúries roundabout (there is only one) follow signs (ignore GPS from here) to Depuradora (2 km) and ‘camping’ for 4 km. on a hard track road to the site.
