La Soleia d'Oix is a rural campsite located in Oix, Girona, Spain. It is a great place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the beautiful countryside of Catalonia. Mountains and forests surround the campsite, and there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and swimming in the nearby rivers. On the way to the campsite, you will have already experienced the vast landscapes and the mountain peaks in the background. The campsite is located on a slight slope and is reached via an easily passable mountain road. At the entrance is the large country house converted into a restaurant. There are 60 pitches which are for touring and have electric hook-up points available. The spacious pitches are situated along various deciduous tree-lined pathways and are around 100 m2 in size.
You will want to visit the site restaurant just for the quirky decor, and it serves a diverse range of dishes, including traditional Catalan cuisine as well as sandwiches or pizza. You are also able to sit in the shade outside under tall trees and enjoy the surrounding views of the countryside. The campsite offers a variety of activities and amenities to keep guests entertained, including a swimming pool perfect for cooling off on a hot day. There is a children's playground with swings, slides, and a climbing frame. For those wishing to cool off from the Spanish heat, there is a games room with a pool table, table tennis and table football, which can be used all year round. Oix is a charming town with a rich history. Be sure to visit the 12th-century church of Santa Maria and the old town walls.
