A warm welcome awaits you at this rural site. It is a peaceful and inexpensive base, especially for those who love horses and ponies, with the small stables adjacent. Off the beaten track, it is situated amongst tall pines on sandy, undulating ground, bordered by woods.
The 80 touring pitches are of varying size and shape, most with electricity (10A). An area of woodland is set aside for those with tents. The family owners also keep some small animals with the horses; a few goats, rabbits and chickens are a delight for young visitors. The access road may be difficult for very large units.
Perfect for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking and canoeing, the small welcoming bar/restaurant provides a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day.
The area has many lovely medieval villages and vineyards. Some (not all!) will visit the nearby crocodile farm down by the River Rhône. There is a direct view of Mont Ventoux from the campsite.
Facilities at Camping la Simioune en Provence
One clean, modern sanitary block has facilities for children and accessible facilities, although the site may be difficult for wheelchairs and those with mobility problems. Washing machine. Small bar, simple meals (May-Aug). Takeaway. Small unheated swimming and paddling pools. Play area. Central barbecue area. Chalets to rent. WiFi throughout (free).

From A7 exit 19 (Bollène). At first roundabout, third exit signed Suze-la-Rousse (site signed). After traffic lights, before river, turn left, site signed (rue Alphonse Daudet), follow signs for 5 km. (along a winding lane).
