Alan Rogers Review
Camping La Ripole is a rural site in the heart of the vast Périgord Limousin regional park. This small site has just 40 pitches, all with 10A electricity, arranged around six hectares of woodland that provide a fair amount of shade. There are mobile homes and chalets available to rent. Facilities here include a pleasant swimming pool with a sunbathing area and a small lake for fishing. There is a small restaurant and snack bar on site. Walking and cycling is very popular in the area and there are several routes leading direct from the campsite.
Organised activities include canoeing trips to Brantôme and the vélo rail from Corgnac to Thiviers. Nearby Saint Jean-de-Cole is not only widely considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in France, but is also home to one of the country’s oldest bell towers. A little further afield, the historic city of Périgueux has a great deal to offer, including a beautiful cathedral and a well preserved medieval centre.
One modern toilet block has all necessary facilities, including for disabled visitors.Washing machine. Restaurant/bar/snack bar. Snack bar. Swimming pool. Fishing. Boules. Play area. Organised activities and entertainment.
LocationFrom Limoges take N21 towards Chalus and then the D6B and D85. Continue on D85 for 9 km. then turn right. The site is well signed and is on the right.
