Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Prairie
La Prairie is located to the north of the Bassin d’Arcachon. This is a pleasant, grassy site with 118 pitches, of which 101 are available for touring units. The pool can be found at the site entrance and is very inviting with a large sunbathing terrace and separate paddling pool for children. Pitches are large and level and all have electrical connections (10A). Shade is limited. The village of Lège is 1 km. to the south and there is a good selection of shops and restaurants here. On-site amenities include a small bar and snack bar, although these only operate in July and August.
The nearest Atlantic beaches are 7 km. away. Close at hand, many cycle tracks run through the surrounding forests and bicycle hire is available in the village. A little further afield is the world renowned bird sanctuary at Le Teich and the Médoc vineyards.
Facilities at Camping la Prairie
Two good quality toilet blocks with preset showers and washbasins in cubicles. Accessible Facilities. Washing machines. Bar and snack bar (July/Aug). Swimming and paddling pools (1/6-30/9). Playground. Sports field. Entertainment and children’s club in peak season. Mobile homes to rent.

The site is 1 km. north of Lège on the D3 (Avenue du Médoc).
