Set right on the dunes adjacent to a large, sandy beach on the vast sweep of Douarnenez Bay, this is one of only seven campsites in Brittany with direct access to a beach, with no paths or roads to cross. It is an impressive location, not manicured but on the ‘wild’ side, being a protected area. Tall hedges provide wind shelter, tamarisk grows in profusion, and there are uninterrupted views out to sea. Some pitches nestle in the shelter of the dunes (sandier ground), others are in groups of four or eight, bordered by hedging. There are mobiles homes available to rent. This is a wonderful site for those seeking a natural, maritime setting – it is officially a ‘plage sauvage’ with the sound of the waves coming free of charge. The owners relatively recently arrived, are enthusiastic and have sensitive plans for updating this unique site.

One central toilet block has showers, washbasins in cabins, facilities for babies and Accessible facilities. Bar, takeaway and shop (July/Aug). Heated outdoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, waterfall for children and paddling pool (1/6-30/9). Play area. Bouncy castle. Multisports court. Games room/TV. Organised entertainment (July/Aug). Direct access to beach.
