Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Pinèda
La Pinèda is a popular, family site with an attractive forest setting, close to the Dune de Pyla and the lively resort of Arcachon. The site boasts a very impressive swimming pool complex which includes a large children’s pirate ship, a covered pool and water slides. There are 200 pitches here, 178 of which are occupied by mobile homes for hire. These are positioned amongst tall trees with good shade. There are 30 touring pitches available with 6A electricity. The site is just 3 km. from the very large Lac de Cazaux where there are many watersports activities. It also has direct access to a canal with mooring opportunities.
The Atlantic Ocean is just a short drive away offering a full complement of seaside activities. Bordeaux is within easy reach with its rich variety of museums and historical buildings. The nearby military base does create some aircraft noise but it is not too intrusive.
Facilities at Camping la Pinèda
One modern sanitary block is generally clean and well maintained providing facilities mostly in private cabins. Accessible facilities (fairly steep). Laundry rooms. Shop. Restaurant, bar and takeaway. Swimming pool complex and covered pool. Games room. Playground. Fishing. Bicycle hire. Canoe hire. Mobile homes and chalets to rent.
Directions to Camping la Pinèda
From Arcachon head south towards Cazaux on the D112. Site is located north of the village and is well signed to the left.
