Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Nautique
This well established site is owned and run by a friendly Dutch family. It is an extremely spacious site situated on the Etang de Bages, where flat water combined with strong winds make it one of the best windsurfing areas in France. La Nautique has 390 huge, level pitches, 270 for touring, all with 10A electricity and fully equipped individual sanitary units. Six or seven overnight pitches with electricity are in a separate area. A range of mobile homes are available to rent. The flowering shrubs and trees give a pleasant feel while providing some shade. Hedges separate the pitches making some quite private and providing shade. The ground is quite hard and stony.
Entertainment is organised for adults and children from Easter to September (increasing in high season), plus windsurfing, sailing, rafting, walking, pedaloes and canoeing (some activities are charged for). The unspoilt surrounding countryside is excellent for walking and cycling (reception has a booklet with routes), and locally there is riding and fishing. This site caters for families with children, including teenagers and is fenced off from the water for safety. Windsurfers can have a key for the gate (with deposit) that leads to launching points on the lake. English is spoken in reception.

Each pitch has its own fully equipped sanitary unit. Extra accessible facilities. Laundry. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar/restaurant with terrace, TV, and takeaway (all 1/5-30/9). Snack bar (July/Aug). Outdoor heated swimming pool, water slide and paddling pool (1/5-30/9). Play areas. Tennis. Minigolf. Pétanque. Miniclub (high season). Games room. Bicycle hire. WiFi (charged). Only electric barbecues are permitted. Torch useful.

From A9 take exit 38 (Narbonne Sud). Go round roundabout to last exit and follow signs for la Nautique and site, then further site signs to site on right in 2.5 km.
