The experienced owners here, who speak many languages, are working hard to raise this site to a high standard. It is in a parkland setting on the southern edge of Nouan-le-Fuzelier close to the A71 autoroute, making this an ideal spot to spend some time relaxing whilst en route north or south. It has 165 spacious, level, grass pitches with a variety of mature trees giving some shade, with 150 for touring. All have 10A electricity, but long leads may be necessary. They are marked but not delineated and access is easy for large outfits. The site is entered through a very attractive park which has some interesting sculptures and houses the excellent municipal swimming pool (free for campers) and tennis courts (reduced price for campers).

The interesting village of Nouan-le-Fuzelier is only 400 m. and well worth exploring. There are nearly 3,000 lakes in this fascinating area and several interesting historical market towns and villages. This is a Mecca for lovers of horses as it is only 7 km. from the National Equestrian Centre. Several of the famous châteaux, such as Chambord, are within easy driving distance and make a great day out.

Directions to Camping la Grande Sologne

Nouan-le-Fuzelier is between exits 3 and 4 on A71 autoroute, south of Orléans. Take D2020 to site at southern edge of Nouan-le-Fuzelier, opposite railway station. Well signed.
