Alan Rogers Review of Camping la Corniche
A well presented site, La Corniche is conveniently placed for both coast (1.5 km), with large sandy beaches, and the delights of inland Brittany. Large level fields are divided into smaller areas by mature hedging and there is some shade from trees. There are 120 generously sized grass pitches with 10A electricity available to the 88 touring units. There are some mobile homes and safari tents to rent. Many visitors return to la Corniche each year. The town of Plozévet is a ten minute stroll away. There are several restaurants, most specialising in galettes and other typically Breton food, bars and a small supermarket.
This part of Brittany offers some wild and rugged coastline dotted with small fishing villages that have remained largely unchanged. A day’s outing to the busy town of Quimper is certainly worthwhile, as is the well known old Breton town of Pont l’Abbé, where you can browse in the shops or stroll along the quayside.
Facilities at Camping la Corniche
Toilet facilities are excellent, one block having being completely rebuilt. Comprehensively equipped, they include individual wash cubicles. Accessible facilities. Small shop and bar (from 1/4), takeaway (July/Aug). Swimming pool and paddling pool (heated, 15/5-15/9). Play area. Games/TV room. Bicycle hire. Entertainment (July/Aug). WiFi over site (charged).
Directions to Camping la Corniche
Head west from Quimper and pick up the D784 towards Landudec and Plozévet. After 26 km, where the road makes a sharp right in the centre of Plozévet, take a left towards the coast (Plage). Site is on right after 1 km.
