You will receive a warm welcome from Hans & Francesca and English is spoken by all in reception. This site is in an ideal location for touring Tuscany and visiting Sienna and Florence. Getting into Florence is just a ten minute drive to Bucine and a one-hour train journey takes you right into the centre of this beautiful city. Sienna is about a 45 minute drive away. The setting of this site is perfect in the centre of Chianti country, with beautiful views across the Tuscany countryside and some amazing sunsets.

Although a large site it is a very peaceful site and well spaced out you will find it very easy to relax and may want to extend your stay.

A large municipal supervised pool complex is on-site and guests have free access, table tennis and tennis courts are also available with no extra charge.

The staff have many years of experience in running campsites and have recently taken over this site, their aim is to ensure you have a great holiday. Many improvements to the site are scheduled over the coming year and have already begun.

More Tuscan cuisine? Antico Portale restaurant of Camping La Chiocciola is where traditional Tuscan dishes, bread, olive oil and local wine are dished up daily. About 50 metres from La Chiocciola's restaurant is Da Claudia market. You can pick up local food to attempt your Tuscan dishes, have an English breakfast, or grab a takeaway from the grill room to have around the spacious site grounds.

Location

From the A1 motorway exit VALDARNO follow signs to SIENA for 1.5km, until you take a left for BUCINE (SP11). Keep following signs for BUCINE (SP540). 5 km after BUCINE you will reach CAPANNOLE, where you turn right onto VIA GIULIO CESARE. From the E78 highway take the exit with indications for FIRENZE, AREZZO, PERGINE, BUCINE and AMBRA to get onto the SP540. Keep following signs for BUCINE until you reach CAPANNOLE. Continue on the SP540 towards BUCINE until you see the sign for CAMPING LA CHIOCCIOLA.
