Alan Rogers Review
Camping la Camassade is a beautiful rural site set on a hillside in Provence, just 10 minutes drive from the medieval village of Tourrettes-Sur Loup. The site occupies a 100-year-old Olive Grove; the 40 pitches are spacious 100 m2, and all have electricity, although a long hook-up lead may be required for some pitches. This is a no-frills site, and you really are in the French countryside.
A large sanitary block at the top of the site serves the whole area, it is clean and modern. However, access to the sanitary block and pool for those with mobility issues may be challenging, and a pitch at the top of the site may be an option to consider.
On-site, there is a recently refurbished swimming and paddling pool that seems to be in the sun most of the day, table tennis, laundry room, bar and shop open during the French summer holidays; this is a very friendly site and a great place to relax.
A trip to the medieval village of Tourrettes-Sur-Loup is recommended; this village must be one of the prettiest in France with its traditional shop, bars, and restaurants around the village square and views down the valley. (30 min free parking in the centre). There is a supermarket in Vance about a 20-minute drive away, and Cagnus-sur Mare on the Cote d Azur with supermarkets, shopping malls and busy seafront is only 11 miles.
One Sanitary Block, private cubicles ,showers and toilets, Laundry Room (with ironing board and Iron), Shop/Bar/Restaurant/Fresh Bread in summer only , Table Tennis, Pool with sun loungers and paddling pool. Childrens playground, WIFI, Pets allowed.
