Opened in 1967, Camping Kursaal is the oldest campsite at Lago Trasimeno and sets a very high standard. Located directly beside the lake, it is a small site with 60 touring pitches. Attractively laid out under tall pines, all pitches have 4/6A electricity and shade from trees and large flowering shrubs. Superb views are enjoyed by the pitches on the lakeside itself whilst others have more limited lake views. The site is in the grounds of an attractive old villa which is now a good quality hotel. Camping visitors can use the hotel amenities including the bar, lounge and the excellent restaurant.

Smart casual is the dress code for dinner in the pretty restaurant where the food is superb. The pleasant small swimming pool also has a hydro-massage area and a spa. The site is ideal for those looking for a tranquil, peaceful holiday rather than families with lively children and teenagers.

Two spotless toilet blocks have showers and toilets in separate areas and are very well maintained. One is built around an old pine tree to prevent it from being felled. Baby room and accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar. Excellent restaurant. Swimming pool with slide. Paddling pools. Hydro-massage. Spa. Private beach and pier. Play area. On the A1 (Firenze-Rome) take exit at Valdichiana-Bettolle. Follow until Passignano Est exit (30 km. from the A1 exit) and turn right and site is 200 m. on the left.
