Situated 100 m. from the beach at Renesse in Zeeland, this is a friendly, family run site. Its owners have set a high standard, which is demonstrated by the immaculate sanitary facilities, modern and stylish decorative features and planting. There are 320 pitches, all for touring units, with electricity connections (16A). These are a generous size and laid out in bays and avenues surrounded by hedging. Around a courtyard area beyond reception there is a supermarket, and a bar which is attractively decorated with novel figures and the owner’s personal memorabilia. Comfortable outside bench seating beneath protective canopies turn this corner of the site into a popular meeting place.

Being close to one of Zeeland’s excellent beaches makes this site an ideal choice for families. A security gate gives access to the beach, 100 metres from the entrance. There are three good quality refreshment facilities along the path. As usual the cycle routes around the campsites take priority over other road users. Campsites in Zeeland unite to provide free bus services in the high season. Zieriksee, the old capital of the region, is definitely worth visiting using this service. Other interesting excursions could include Renesse, a town that grows ten fold in summer, and the Neetlje Jans waterpark. Zeeland is a region that often enjoys sunshine while other parts of the Netherlands have more inclement weather.

Directions to Camping International Renesse

From Zierikzee follow N59 to Renesse for 15 km. and turn right at roundabout (before town) onto local road signed R101. Continue for 1 km. and turn left, then first right to site on right.
