Comfortable and good value, this little site is set in an old orchard and is ideal for a relaxing short break, perhaps before heading further south or west. The 30 numbered touring pitches are on lush grass, all with electric hook-ups (6A), although some may need long leads. The entire site has a slight slope, so motorhomes will probably need levelling blocks. There is good site lighting and tarmac roads. The guardienne lives on site and reception is open 90.00-22.00 (July/Aug), 17.00-22.00 (low season) – just choose your pitch and pay later if she is not around.

Although off-ground barbecues are allowed on the pitch, a large communal barbecue is provided in a traditional style ‘storehouse’. The usual small country town hustle and bustle and swimming pool noise during the day gives way to quiet nights after 8 pm. Various possible outings include Villedieu-les-Poêles (14 km), Avranches (16 km) and Mont Saint-Michel (30 km). Reception issues vouchers for free admission to the adjacent municipal swimming pool (June 16.30-19.00, July/Aug 14.00-19.00) and tennis (balls and rackets for hire).

A traditional Normandy stone building houses toilet facilities with modern fittings including British style toilets, spacious hot showers and some washbasins in cubicles. Washing machine. . No chemical toilet disposal point. Playground for young children.

Brécey is 16 km. east of Avranches. Site is 1 km. east of town just off D911. Turn south on D79 towards Les Cresnays. Site entrance is adjacent to swimming pool, off a public car park.
