Il Vecchio Mulino enjoys a fine woodland setting on the slopes of Monte Marsicano, at the heart of the Abruzzo National Park. The site is open all year and is popular for walking and cycling in the summer and is well located for the Pescasseroli and Macchiarvana ski resorts in the winter.
The focal point of the site is the old mill and the attractively restored farm buildings housing the restaurant and bed and breakfast accommodation. The restaurant serves local Abruzzese cuisine and is open from May to September. The pitches here are spacious and level and all are equipped with an electrical connection.
This is a friendly site with traditional facilities showing signs of wear. The town of Opi is very attractive and just 1 km. away. There is a great deal to see in Abruzzo and the site is well placed for exploring the region. Look for the trout and other fish in the mill stream – these supply the restaurant.
