Molino is a small, garden-like site with much charm and character beside Lake Garda. It is in two main areas divided by the site buildings, and the 85 pitches vary in character, some well shaded on level ground by the lake, some for tents on terraces, and many in rows with pergolas and flowering shrubs. All have electricity, water and drainage. The excellent restaurant has superb lake views and serves traditional Italian food. A friendly family atmosphere is maintained at the site by the daughter of the original owners. Ingeborg is delightful and speaks perfect English. The family house, of which the charming restaurant is a part, has a huge water wheel, which was used to crush the olives from the local area.

This explains the name of the campsite and the old mill equipment can still be seen under the house, although it is now disconnected. A pleasant stony beach is at one end; elsewhere one steps straight down into shallow water. Boats can be launched and there is a floating pontoon for sunbathing, diving and boat landing. The management does not like loud radios or TVs, or any noise after 11 pm. A shallow stream runs along the western boundary and there is a pretty pond containing huge Koi behind reception.

Three small sanitary blocks are of a very high standard and include British style WCs (some en-suite with washbasins), adjustable hot showers and hot water to all washbasins. Accessible Facilities. Laundry (attended). Motorhome services. Shop, restaurant and bar. Bicycle and canoe hire. Fishing. Little dog beach. Free organised entertainment in season. Boat launching. Boat excursions. Boat and caravan storage. WiFi throughout (charged).

Directions to Camping Ideal Molino

San Felice is on western shore of Lake Garda at the southern end. From A4 (Milan-Venice) take Desenzano exit and head north on SS572 towards Salò for 13 km; turn right towards San Felice. Pass Guardiola sign then follow brown signs bearing site name, turning right and right again.
