The owner of Camping Harmonie prefers not to call it a campsite, but actually it is one of the better sites in Lithuania. At the entrance, you are greeted by flowering shrubs, colourful flowers and several small ponds with waterfalls. All of this is the work of Mrs Brauns who has taken over a decade to develop this welcoming environment. Harmonie has 40 pitches (all for tourers, 30 with 6A electricity) on slightly sloping grass, mostly in the shade of mature trees on two fields. Pitches in the field closest to the entrance are grouped around a pond (fenced), with more open pitches on the newer field to the right.

Convivial evenings are spent in the common room, and if you want to know more about Lithuania’s history, ask Mrs Braun who is an historian and very knowledgeable. Mr Braun has been the coach of the Lithuanian Olympic cycling team and in earlier years played professional soccer. One advantage of this site is that loud music is prohibited.

Clean and comfortable toilet facilities with British style toilets, open washbasins and controllable hot showers. Washing machine. Fully equipped kitchen. Communal BBQ area. Motorhome services. Library. Bicycle hire (biking trips organised). Lake swimming. Common room with TV (free coffee). Shuttle to train station for Vilnius. Torch useful. Pets allowed. WIFI.

Directions to Camping Harmonie

From Vilnius take the A4 south and exit to the west at Paluknys. Continue for 7 km. on a bumpy access road and the site is signed to the left half way between Paluknys and Rudiskes.
