Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary in 2012, this family run campsite is attractively located on one of the smaller and most easterly of the Italian lakes. The 92 touring pitches are moderately sized (65 sq.m), with those on the lakeside costing a little more, and 3A electricity included. There are four modern, well equipped mobile homes and 11 old and very basic bungalows for hire. The private 300 m. beach, made up partly of pebbles and partly of fine gravel, slopes gently at one end and falls away sharply at the other. Children’s activities are organised daily (except Sundays) in high season.

The lake and surrounding countryside offer opportunities for walking, cycling, sailing and watersports. The village of Calceranica is a short walk away and has a post office, a bar, a few shops and a smart hotel/restaurant. Worth visiting are the Church of Saint Ermete, the mine and its museum, and the upper church that dominates the village and offers beautiful views. The provincial capital, Trento, is easily reached by train or car.

New high quality toilet block includes washbasins and showers and good facilities for babies, children and accessible facilities. Small bar with terrace and TV (from end May). Small shop sells fresh bread and basics. Play area. Organised activities for children (high season). Fishing. WiFi.

Directions to Camping Fleiola

Calceranica-al-Lago is 19 km. southeast of Trento. From A22 Verona-Brenner motorway, leave at Trento-Nord, follow signs for SS47 Valsugana and Padova. Pass Pergine and after 3 km. follow signs for San Cristoforo, drive along the lake to Calceranica. At second roundabout turn left onto Viale Trento. Site is just after railway bridge (height limit 3.25 m).
