En Salvan is a mature campsite situated only 800 metres from the popular Lac de Saint Ferréol in the Haute-Garonne region of the Midi-Pyrénées. There are 150 mainly level, well drained grass pitches, of which 90 are available for tourers and 30 are used for large mobile homes and chalets to rent. All with electricity (French sockets), the pitches are well laid out, many separated by hedges, although one area of the site is totally open, albeit with some limited shade provided by young trees. Five pitches are reserved for campers with reduced mobility.

The site has a supervised club for children (July/Aug) with games and other activities, and adults are catered for with organised walks, aerobics classes and musical entertainment in a large concert room in July and August. Another attraction of the site is its close proximity to Lac de Saint Ferréol, which has canoeing, kayaking, sailing and other water-based activities, a large beach and a tree lined walking and cycling route of about 6 km. around the lake.

Facilities at Camping En Salvan

Four sanitary blocks have hot showers, two with baby changing and one with accessible facilities. Washing machines. Small bakery shop (July/Aug). Swimming pool (June-Sept). Play area. Children’s club (4-12 and 12-17 yrs). Bicycle hire. Limited English spoken.

Directions to Camping En Salvan

From Castelnaudray take D624 and D622 north to Revel. At Revel take D629 to St Ferréol. Turn right on D79d signed Vaudreuille, continue for 1 km. then turn right at junction (site signed) and site is on right after 150 m.
