Camping Eldorado is a family-friendly campsite located in Plasmolen, Netherlands, right next to the Mookerplas, a 40-hectare recreational lake. The campsite is situated beside the small village of Plasmolen and has many restaurants and cafes nearby. The spectacular views across the Mookerplas and the lake marina can be enjoyed from the campsite restaurant itself, while the brasserie provides a more casual dining option with light bites. There's also a small shop selling groceries for your camping essentials. There are 140 touring pitches with electric hook-up points available, and they also come with lakeside views. Jetties line the shore for those travelling with their own boats.

The Mookerplas recreational area offers a variety of activities for all ages, including swimming, sailing, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boarding. The campsite has a kids' club that runs during the summer months and offers various activities, such as creative crafts and inflatable games. For the little ones, there is an outdoor toddler pool with water fountains and play equipment. Entertainment for all to enjoy runs in the evenings during high season too, which includes live music and bingo.

While not a massive site, the Roman Villa Plasmolen offers a glimpse into Roman history in the Netherlands. You can walk the grounds and see the villa's foundations. There is a small information centre where you can learn more about the site's history. Nijmegen, a lively city with a rich history, is just a short drive from Plasmolen. Here you can explore the Valkhof Museum, which showcases Nijmegen's long history, climb the Valkhof hill for stunning views of the city, or visit the Groenewoud Park, a large and scenic park perfect for picnics, walks, or explore the botanical garden.

Directions to Camping Eldorado

From the A73 at junction 3 Malden join the N271 towards Molenhoek, Mook and Plasmolen. At Plasmolen turn right onto Witteweg and the site is off this road.
