Alan Rogers Review of Camping El Sur
The delightfully decorated entrance, with generous manoeuvring area, is a promise of something different which is fulfilled in all respects. The friendly family who run the site have worked hard for many years combining innovative thinking with excellent service. The 125 terraced pitches have electricity (6/10A) and water, and are partially shaded by olive and almond trees. Levels vary so chocks are recommended. Most have relaxing views of the surrounding mountains but at an elevation of 850 m. the upper pitches (the very top 45 pitches are for tents only) allow a clear view of the fascinating town of Ronda.
The various leisure facilities are very clean, well maintained and the personal touches of the owners are obvious which make using them more enjoyable. This is one of the best small sites we have seen in Andalucia with reasonable prices. Enjoy the breathtaking 130 metre deep El Tajo gorge (where prisoners were thrown during the civil war) from the lovely 18th century bridge which joins the old and new parts of town.

The immaculate sanitary block is fully equipped. Laundry facilities in a separate block. Gas supplies. Bar and very large, high quality restaurant (1/2-31/10). Kidney-shaped pool (1/6-30/9). Playground and adventure play area. Separate camping area for groups. Minigolf. Off road bicycle hire. Internet and WiFi (charged). Bungalows for rent.

Site is on the A369 Ronda-Algerciras road 3 km. south of Ronda and is well signed.
