A spacious and well appointed site in the Vallée de l’Aveyron, Camping du Rouergue is adjacent to the municipal sports facilities. You will receive a helpful and friendly welcome from Patricia and Bruno. The site has 80 grassy individual touring pitches of varying sizes, served by tarmac roads, and all serviced with 16A electricity, water and drain. Some pitches are shady. A further 13 pitches are for mobile homes or tents for rental. There are reduced rates for campers at the municipal swimming pool, and shops and restaurants are within walking distance along the riverside foot and cycle path. A smaller pool is also available on site.
Villefranche-de-Rouergue is one of the larger bastide towns of the region and is on the Pilgrims’ Route to Santiago de Compostela. The site is also ideally placed for exploring the many other historical bastides of the Rouergue and Aveyron.
Facilities
The modern spacious sanitary unit includes washbasins in cubicles. Facilities for babies and disabled visitors. Washing machine. With two identical sections to the block, only one is open during low season. Motorhome services outside campsite entrance. Shop. Small bar, restaurant and takeaway (June-Aug). TV room. Small swimming pool. Well equipped playground. Bicycle hire. WiFi (free).
Location
Villefranche-de-Rouergue is midway between Cahors and Rodez. Site is 1 km. southwest of town on D47 towards Monteils, follow signs from D911 to campsite and Stade.Location Coordinates
