Camping du Lac de la Thésauque sits pretty on the banks of a lake of the same name. It’s also less than 50 kilometres from Toulouse and the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Natural Regional Park for when you want to sightsee in the city or the countryside.

Back at the campsite, there are many activities to enjoy on the lake. Exploring in a canoe might be the first option, or trying the floating inflatable obstacle course; you can also enjoy swimming, fishing, and pedal boats. When you’ve enjoyed the lake, you can relax at the campsite restaurant terrace with a drink or enjoy the outdoor pool. The rest of the park has been planned to facilitate family stays, with the brightly coloured playground and the miniature golf course.

There are several historic sites around Toulouse which are within an easy drive. Saint-Sernin Basilica – the largest Romanesque church in Europe – dominates the city, and the pink marble façade of Place du Capitole is well worth a visit.

Coming from Montpellier – From the A66 Take exit 20 Villefranche-de-Lauragais, Take the D622 and follow the direction of Gardouch, Lac de la Thésauque, Nailloux, Turn left at the DROP-IN sign, Ferme de Champreux, Camping. Coming from Toulouse or Ariège – From the A61, Take exit 1 Nailloux, Take the D19 towards Nailloux Center, At the entrance to the village, turn right on the D622 towards Gardouch, Thésauque lake, Villefranche-de-Lauragais.
