Den Driesch is an attractive site just 500 m. from the centre of the historic town of Valkenburg. Pitches here are grassy with reasonable shade and are all supplied with 10A electricity. A number of semi-asphalted pitches are particularly suitable for motorhomes. There is a well-stocked shop with freshly baked bread every day. The southern Limburg region is very popular for outdoor activities and Den Driesch is well placed to take advantage of these. This is an excellent walking country and the long-distance walks, Krijtlandpad and Pieterpad both start nearby.

Mountain biking is also popular (bicycle and e-bike hire at reception) and the site managers will be pleased to recommend routes. Very unusually, there is also an underground cycle circuit through nearby caves (four-wheel quad-bikes are available here too). Valkenburg is a town of great interest, dominated by a ruined castle. The town is a lively tourist destination and boasts a casino, as well as countless cafés and restaurants.

Directions to Camping Den Driesch

Approaching on the A2 (towards Maastricht), take the Valkenburg-Cauberg exit (N590). Follow signs towards Valkenburg, and then turn towards Sibbe-Margraten. Continue to follow signs to Valkenburg, pass a coalmine and, 250 m. further, turn right towards site.
