Camping Resort De Meerpaal is a high quality site located close to the beach and dunes, and within walking or cycling distance of the seaside town of Zoutelande. There are 75 large, grassy touring pitches here and all but three, which are set aside for motorhomes, have sanitary units on the pitch. The resort offers hotel style accommodation in chalets, and there are a number of privately owned chalets. On-site amenities include an area of woodland and a nature reserve of wetland, flowers and shrubs. The attractive reception area has a wellness centre, a restaurant and separate snack bar.
The main play area has a pirate theme with a three masted adventure playground vessel. An entertainment and activity programme is on offer during school holidays. Zoutelande is nearby with shops, cafeteria and restaurants; it holds regular markets with food and antiques stalls. A pleasant walk to the town passes through pine woods and sand dunes or along the beach to the seafront promenade. The area is known as the Zeeuwse Rivièra for its sunny climate and long, sandy beaches. There are large cafés along this stretch of coast, and areas of dune moto-x, paragliding, fishing and kite surfing amongst the various activities available.
