Camping de la Vallée is an attractive site with good, well-maintained facilities, situated on the rolling hillside above Houlgate. The original farmhouse building has been converted to house a bar/brasserie and a comfortable TV lounge and billiards room overlooking the aqua park.

The site has 365 pitches with 170 for touring units (including 12 hardstandings). Open and separated by hedges, all the average sized pitches have 6/10A electricity and some also have water and drainage. Most of the site is sloping, some level, with gravel or tarmac roads. Shade is provided by a variety of well-kept trees and shrubs. The town and its beach are only a 900 m. walk. This is a popular site which is busy in high season with entertainment provided. It is used by tour operators and there are 72 attractive chalets to rent.

Three good toilet blocks include washbasins in cabins, accessible facilities, and baby rooms. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop. Bar. Restaurant and takeaway. Aqua park with covered pool and heated outdoor pool (May-Sept). Games room. Playground. Bicycle hire. Volleyball. Football. Tennis. Pétanque. Entertainment in July/Aug. WiFi (charged).

Directions to Camping de la Vallée

Houlgate is 30 km. northeast of Caen. From A13 take exit for Cabourg and follow D400 to Dives-sur-Mer, then D513 (Houlgate/Deauville) as far as seafront. After 1 km. at lights go straight on for Centre Ville, then just before getting to the street in the main centre turn right, folllow site sign to the town hall’s roundabout then go straight on passed the tourist office on the left hand side and turn first right and follow signs to site in 1 km. (No arrivals 12.00-14.00 in low season).
