Alan Rogers Review of Camping de la Plage Bénodet
When you enter the site, you may think that this campsite site is rather small and secluded. You will find 160 touring pitches and almost as many rental accommodation units, both on separate sections of the camping site. The touring pitches are located amidst greenery, on grassy fields which are bordered by tall trees. You'll likely want to laze around on site for some time too… For Camping de la Plage has a big waterpark, made up of a covered pool, two outdoor pools, two waterslides, two hot tubs and a kids' paddling pool, plus outdoor aqua gym sessions in July and August.
Among the many other facilities you can find a bar, small indoor fitness room, a multisports court, a pétanque court, indoor and outdoor ping pong tables and a games room with billiards and table football. If you're hankering after some organised entertainment after long sunny days at the beach, karaoke, dances and themed evenings are held in July and August.
Not one but four golden sandy Brittany beaches are within a kilometre's walk from Camping de la Plage. It's 15 minutes stroll from the seaside resort of Bénodet, where the Odet river meets the sea, 300 metres from the water and 400 from Benodet's main beach.
Shellfish, shrimp and crab fishing, watersports, and simply lounging on the sands are all exceptionally easy from this southern Brittany coast setting next to these four golden beaches; in town, there are art galleries and museums, a casino and crêperies to keep you occupied, while mountain biking, climbing and quite a few other outdoor activities are available nearby.

From Fouesnant take D44 west towards Bénodet. After 10 km. take Le Letty road south. Site is well signed.
