La Croix Saint Martin is in Abrest on the edge of the attractive spa town of Vichy and close to the Bourbonnais mountains. The site is on the right bank of the Allier and extends over three hectares of wooded parkland. There are 89 level, grassy pitches with 71 for touring and 67 with 10A electricity. They are separated by some hedging and a variety of mature trees give varying amounts of shade. Vichy’s elegant parks are less than 30 minutes on foot and the town centre is only another ten minutes. No twin-axle caravans.

This is an inexpensive, yet convenient, site for sightseeing in Vichy and for short stopovers. On site amenities include volleyball, tennis, table tennis, boules, trampoline, bouncy cushion and a small swimming pool. Various activities are held on site during the peak season. Canoe trips to nearby Saint Yorre and Ris are available. A popular farmer’s market is held in the village of Abrest every week. Many other shops are within easy access including the Centre Commercial du Carré d’As, on the other bank of the Allier.

Directions to Camping de la Croix Saint Martin

Abrest is just south of Vichy. From town centre, head south D906 (Avenue de Thiers) to Abrest. Follow signs onto D426 and across a level crossing. Site is signed shortly after on left.
