Alan Rogers Review of Camping de Charlieu
Charlieu is a very attractive little town, well worth a visit, and the well cared for municipal site here would make a good base for exploring the area. The 100 pitches (30 occupied by seasonal units), all have electricity (10A). The pitches are reasonably large and well spaced, on level grass. Most are separated by trim hedges but with little shade. There are few facilities on the site as the small, historic town is within about five minutes’ walk. A card from reception gives free entry to the municipal swimming pool plus other activities in and around the town.

Directions to Camping de Charlieu
Charlieu is 20 km. northeast of Roanne. From Pouilly, on the D482, take D487 to Charlieu (5.5 km). Site is southeast of the town next to a sports stadium and is signed from the town centre.
