Camping Costa Merlata is on the Puglian coast, an easy stroll from sandy Mediterranean beaches and 20 20-minute’ drive from the Puglian city of Ostuni. This is a site for anyone who’s in need of a beach and seaside getaway: a minute’s easy stroll from the site will bring you to a sheltered cove where you can build sandcastles, go for a dip and soak up the summer sun. Cyclists can enjoy the 13-kilometre cycle path that runs the length of the Ostuni marina or explore the ancient olive groves and historical farmhouses of Dune Costiere Natural Regional Park, 15 minutes away.

On site, you can cool off under the shade of the trees and have a laid-back few hours of football tournaments, boules and table football before dinner. When you can’t ignore the hunger anymore, make your way to the restaurant or pizzeria, or make a visit to the on-site butcher, greengrocer and supermarket to stock up on the essentials for a top-notch barbecue. The site has 285 pitches, of which 200 are for touring units and have a 6-amp hook-up point. Dogs are allowed in low season.

Time your stay just right, and you’ll be around to see Ostuni come to life for the Cavalcata di Sant’Oronzo, the city’s patronal festival. It’s a spectacle of knights and horses, parades and feasting, and not to be missed if your plans allow. Take the children to see the stunning stalactites, stalagmites, fossils and canyons of the Castellana caves, or keep things above ground with a day of animals and rides at Zoo Safari Fasnolandia and Acquapark Egnazia, both under half an hour away.

Directions to Camping Costa Merlata

From the E55 at Brindisi, continue on the E55 towards Bari and take the exit towards Costa Merlata. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit. Turn right then the site will be on the right.
